Kerala PSC LPSA Notification 2014

Kerala PSC invited applications for the LPSA Examination 2014 .LPSA (Lower Primary School Assistant) is the post for TTC passed candidates who are wishing to become lower primary teachers. Kerala PSC will select the suitable candidates by conducting district wise test. The qualified candidates can apply through their one time registration profile by entering into the official website of Kerala PSC.

LPSA Salary Scale: 13210-22360 Rs

LPSA Reservation:

As per the information from the Kerala Public Service Commission for the LPSA post there is 3% reservation for the handicapped/disabled persons (GO(p)1/13/SJD dt 3-1-2013)



LPSA Appointment:

Way of appointment is direct.

Age limit to apply for LPSA test:

18-40. The applicants should born in between 2-1-1974 and 1-1-1996 (including both dates).The deserved candidates like backward category can get reservation.

LPSA Qualification:

1) A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Examination Commissioner of Kerala Government.
OR
A pass in the Pre Degree Examination conducted by any recognized University of Kerala.
OR
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Kerala Higher Secondary Examination Board 

The equivalent qualifications will also consider

2) A pass in TTC Examination conducted by Kerala Government Examination Commission.

NB: 

  • B Ed is not a substitute for the TTC qualification.
  • The candidates should study Malayalam either in PART 1 or in PART 2 in SSLC.
LPSA Written Test:

It will be in Malayalam language. It may or may not an OMR test. The candidates should follow the Kerala PSC announcements to know the date of LPSA Examination 2014. While writing the written test all candidates shall obey the instructions given by the KPSC through the LPSA Question booklet.

LPSA syllabus:


Part 1: General Knowledge and Current Affairs
Part 2: General Science

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
Part 3: Social Science
  • History
  • Geography
Part 4: Simple Arithmetic
Part 5: General English
Part 6: Educational Psychology

Part 1-5 include SSLC standard topics and Part 6 includes TTC based topics.

Maximum Marks of LPSA Examination: 100 marks. Every 3 wrong answers will lead to 1 negative mark.

Medium of Questions- Malayalam

The LPSA short list and rank list will publish by the Kerala PSC as soon as possible after the test. PSC had been reported about the LPSA vacancies by the education department to distribute qualified teachers to the various LP schools in the 14 districts.
