Kerala PSC Online Examination: How to Write Tips

Kerala PSC is the first public service commission which set up own online examination system in India. Two PSC online tests had completed. They were for the posts of HSST (computer science) and engineer (civil). The PSC online exam centre of Kerala is in Trivandrum head office.

Many candidates have so many doubts related to the online PSC examination. They have no idea to write the online examination of KPSC. Here are the important tips on which the candidates who are going to appear for an PSC online exam. 

  • All the candidates should enter the online examination hall half an hour before the starting time of the PSC test. 
  • They should find out their allotted seats by finding out the register number in PSC hall ticket.
  • As soon as the candidates enter the exam hall they will get an access card which contain an user ID and password.
  • All of them should loin to the online examination site. The applicants should enter their user ID and password in their access card by using the virtual keyboard which appear on the computer screen.
  • Then you can see the instructions from the Kerala PSC to attend the online test.
  • The first 15 minutes before the exam there will be a mock test to familiar with the online examination practice. The 20 model questions with 4 options will come on the screen. To answer these 20 question the candidate will get 15 minutes. Click on the right option.
  • After a particular time you can see the details about the number of total questions, answered questions and the dropped questions. 
  • After the PSC online mock test, the actual test will start on time.
  • There will be 100 questions. Each consists of 4 options.
  • Duration of the online test is 75 minutes.
  • Each correct answer will get 1 mark.
  • There is negative marking for each wrong answer (0.33 marks for each wrong response)
  • At a time you can see only one question with its 4 options.
  • There is no time limit to answer the questions.
  • You can see the options like 'previous' 'next' and 'clear response'. To go to the previous question you should click on 'previous' button. To pass to the next question you should click on 'next' button. To delete a response to any question, you should click on 'clear response' button and add any other answer.
  • There 100 small white boxes, below the above mentioned buttons which are marked as 1 to 100. When you answer each question the box which carries particular question number will become blue from white. To reach to the questions from 1 to 100 directly you should click on these small boxes. 
  • After entering the answer the candidate should click on 'next' button to save the answer, otherwise it will not save to the system.
  • The candidates can always see the number of remaining questions to answer and the remaining time to finish the online test on the screen.
  • The other functions in the computers which give to the online examination candidates should be disable.
  • When the timer on the screen will reach to '0' the all answers which the candidate entered should save and the candidate will log out automatically. The statistics page will appear. 
  • After the logging out no one can enter or correct anything to the site. 
These are the major steps to write the KPSC online examination. The candidates should read the instructions from the Kerala PSC carefully and attend the online test of PSC.
