LD Clerk: Supernumerary Appointments Ordered by Kerala Government

Kerala Government ordered to do a mass appointment from existing LDC rank lists of 14 districts by supernumerary system. The departments will report the anticipated LDC vacancies up to June 30, to KPSC. These vacancies will fill with the candidates from the present LD clerk rank list. They will advice by PSC immediately. This new decision of Kerala Government is to appoint maximum candidates from the existing lists. The advised candidates will get the LDC job when the vacancy actually forms.

Previous LDC list got the advantage from the extension of that rank list. But this time this list will not get this advantage because KPSC had already planned to publish the new LDC list in this month. So the supernumerary system can only make the candidates of this lists a government employee. The details and number of the anticipated LDC vacancies had sent by the department heads. The process of calculation of the supernumerary posts is being done. These reported vacancies will only fill from the existing list.

LDC mass appointment

From the previous LDC lists almost 15,000 candidates had appointed. But this time only 10,000 candidates were appointed. PSC will publish the latest LDC list on March 31. From that time the present lists will die. There around 40,000 candidates are waiting for LDC appointment. This new decision of Government is based on their requests.

The candidates in the previous LD clerk list got the chance to enjoy list extension for 3 months and supernumerary vacancies of 1 year (from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013). By that decision rank holders of the present LDC list had loss the vacancies of that 1 year.

But, this new decision by the government gives a hope to the waiting LDC candidates. If the remaining procedures go quickly, they may become LD Clerks.
