KPSC New Syllabus of Police Constable Examination September 2015



Kerala Police Constable Exam Syllabus

Kerala PSC published new, revised syllabus for police constable (Armed Police Battalion) - category no: 12/2015, 13/2015, 198/2015, 199/2015.


The syllabus of police constable test of Kerala PSC includes 3 parts.

  • General Knowledge
  • General English
  • Simple Arithmetic and Mental Ability

Detailed syllabus is below:



PART 1 : General Knowledge:- General knowledge part contains 8 categories like,
  1. Basic facts about Kerala, historical and geographical importance, social, economical and industrial achievements. 
  2. Kerala renaissance and leaders like Ayyankali, Chattambiswamikal, Sree Narayana Guru, Pandit Kelappan, V.T.Batathiripad, Kumara Guru, Mannath Padmanabhan etc...
  3. Geography of India, rivers and river projects, mineral sources, industries, transportation, communication, States of India, union territories.
  4. Middle India, first independence strike of 1857 - reasons and results, development of India related to independence struggle, post independence era of India.
  5. Five year plans of India, planning, banking, insurance, central, state, village development programmes, social welfare schemes, specialties of Indian constitution.
  6. Human protection act - 1993, national human right commission, right to information, information commissions - state and national, acts in 1989 and 1995 related to attacks against of SC and ST, women empowerment, acts for stopping discrimination against women, cyber laws.....
  7. Politics, economics, literature, science, arts, culture, sports - current affairs related to these fields.
  8. Scientific facts, environment problems, agriculture, health, non renewable energy sources, scientific developments, achievements in astrology....    
PART 2 : General English:-

Question Paper of Police Constable Exam 2015:


It will be in Malayalam. It will be an OMR test with 100 questions. Negative marking system is applicable.

  1. Thanks for enlightening us about the exam pattern of KPSC. Can you please provide some online tests for practice? Seems that you have quite deep knowledge about (heading) Exams like KPSC, so can you please guide me for the same? I found a KPSC Mock test at http://www.prep.youth4work.com/State-Public-Service-Commission/KPSC-Test . I practiced there and it was quite useful with over 100000 questions for KPSC. But only 50 questions were free. Can you please tell will it be worth to spend money for the mock test series there?
